


Mitchel B. “Mitch” Reed is an empathetic leader, Army veteran, and father of five with more than 20 years of experience leading complex organizations across the military, nonprofit, startup, and corporate sectors. He holds a Master’s degree in Leadership Studies from the University of Texas at El Paso, graduating with a 4.0 GPA, and a Bachelor of Science in Counseling.



During his service as a United States Army Officer from 2010 to 2020, Mitch deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan and Operation Inherent Resolve in Qatar. He earned numerous awards and decorations, including the Bronze Star Medal and Meritorious Service Medal. Following his military retirement, he continued serving as a federal contractor and government service employee, supporting national defense and operational initiatives.
Today, Mitch serves as Chief Commercial Officer and Board Advisor for RescAlert, an integrations and SaaS company. He is also President and CEO of UKnightedXP, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, owner of Reed Think Consulting, partner in quantum computing company Entanglix, and co-owner of Skullcap Ridge, LLC, a family homestead in Northwest Florida. His professional certifications include Licensed Scrum Master and Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.
Deeply rooted in Northwest Florida, Mitch previously served as an Okaloosa County substitute teacher and remains actively engaged in mentorship and service, including as a NASA University Student Launch Mentor and National Technical Industry Liaison for United Cajun Navy.



Mitch is currently a candidate for Okaloosa County School Board, District 3, in the 2026 election, where he seeks to apply his leadership experience, commitment to service, and passion for student success to strengthen local schools and support families across the community.
